Coffee Loving Cardmakers + My Favorite Things

 

I'm back over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today featuring My Favorite Things!

With coffee and donuts included in their line up of products in the online store, I decided to use the Die-namics LLD Coffee Cup dies along with the LLD Perk Up stamp set to create today's card!

I used kraft cardstock on most elements of the design to keep the color scheme simple.  The little coffee cup sleeve die cut was run through my crimper to give it a little more texture.  (I'd forgotten I owned that tool!)  I filled the negative die cut space with a red heart die cut for a pop of color.  The assembled coffee cup and middle stitched panel are both popped up with foam dots.

I'm so happy to be back to drinking coffee this morning!  I spent the end of last week with an aversion to the stuff due to a stomach bug that hit our family.  I think I'm finally about caught up with laundry and rearranging my calendar, but a good strong cup of coffee should finish putting things back in their proper places by day's end today!  It's magic, I tell ya!

After a full morning of school conferences & delivering food to the teachers, I spent a little time in my craft room during DS3's afternoon nap while the older two were out in the snow with the neighbor's friendly dog!

I'd seen Moxie Fab's Camera Craze Challenge earlier this week and have had ideas brewing in the back of my brain since then.  I finally took some time to look through my stamp stash to find some camera themed images and settled on one from My Favorite Things.

I stamped the main image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, paper pieced the dress and colored the rest with Copic markers.  I added a little clear gemstone to the lens of the camera for shine.  I intentionally layered the panels off kilter for a little added interest.  Besides, I have taken more photos than I can count that are not exactly centered!
